Doctor Honoris Causa

Honoris causa, abbreviated as hc, is a Latin phrase (in Portuguese, “because of honor”) used in honorary degrees granted by universities to eminent persons who are not necessarily suffering from a college degree but who have stood out in a given area (arts, sciences, philosophy, letters, promoting peace, humanitarian assistance etc.), for their good reputation, virtue, merit or service actions that transcend families, persons or institutions

The person receiving the title of “honorary doctorate” can use the abbreviation “Dr. hc”. If you already have an academic doctorate degree, you can use the abbreviation “Dr. Dr. hc”. The honorable person with more than one title of doctor honoris causa, you can use the abbreviation “Dr. hc mult.” (Doctor honoris causa multiplex).

What is IEU as a Corporate University

IEU as a Corporate University provides training for the employees of its corporate member’s .This is to address the specific workforce-related needs of the organization. Unlike traditional universities where all course content is broadly applicable to the field as a whole, IEU teaches some content that is only relevant to the IEU corporate members. Thus we cater to membership company’s management training and leadership development initiatives.

Does IEU offer degrees

IEU, is a non-degree granting institution. We offer Training Certifications and Honorary Awards, and we partner with select Universities to offer Pre, Post & Doctorate Level studies.

Are the Honorary Awards Accessible to all

Our honorary awards are ONLY given to IEU Corporate Member nominees. There are two categories: Award of Recognition and Honorary Doctorates.

IEU is it accredited

In view of our status as a corporate non-degree granting institution, we do not require accreditation. We do work with various traditional accredited universities should the employees of the corporate members seek to pursue a higher learning programs.

The University being a non-academic Corporate Entity, does not require to seek any form of accreditation to repute itself in the market. It has formed memberships with the following organisation to build its corporate network
